Pickering-Uxbridge Constituency Youth Council

The Constituency Youth Council program allows youth to bring a new perspective on policy and issues affecting our communities. A Constituency Youth Council in Pickering-Uxbridge will be the youth voice for our community and provide valuable perspectives for Pickering-Uxbridge’s Member of Parliament, Jennifer O’Connell, to return to Ottawa with.


What is the Constituency Youth Council?

The Constituency Youth Council is a volunteer opportunity for youth aged 14 to 26. It will allow youth to have their voices heard on policy issues facing Canada, learn about Canada’s political process and get involved in our community. 


How often will the Council Meet?

The Constituency Youth Council will meet once to twice per month. 


Why is this important to me?

Giving youth a voice is vital to our government. A youth perspective brings a new light to issues touching our community.
